According to the theory of rotational magnetomotive force, the excitation winding and control winding work together to generate a rotating magnetic field, and the direction of rotation of the rotating magnetic field is from the phase leading winding to the phase lagging winding. Changing the phase of the control voltage in the control winding can alter the lead lag relationship between the two-phase windings, thereby changing the direction of rotation of the rotating magnetic field, and the direction of rotation of the AC servo motor will also change. By changing the magnitude and phase of the control voltage, the magnetic flux of the rotating magnetic field can be altered, thereby changing the electromagnetic torque of the motor, and the speed of the AC servo motor will also change.
